Machine Operator

Position Summary

We are looking for a dependable and skilled Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for safely operating and maintaining automated production machinery to ensure high-quality output and efficient production flow. The ideal candidate has prior experience in automated manufacturing, strong mechanical aptitude, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor automated production equipment according to established procedures.
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and make minor adjustments to maintain accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and correct basic mechanical, electrical, or sensor-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Record production data, including counts, cycle times, and equipment performance.
• Conduct routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance on machines.
• Follow all company safety standards at all times.
• Communicate effectively with maintenance and production teams regarding equipment performance.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and training to enhance machine efficiency and operator skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school training preferred.
• 2+ years of experience operating automated, or robotic machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret production instructions.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
